Generalplus Technology Reports 2024/Q2 Financial Results

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today (8/7) held Board of Directors’ meeting and acknowledged its 2024/Q2 consolidated financial statements. Revenues and net income of 2024/Q2 were NT$791 million and NT$119 million, increasing 26.5% and 78.7%, respectively, from the same period of year 2023. Earnings per share of 2024/Q2 was NT$1.09, up 78.7% from NT$0.61 of 2023/Q2, with gross profit ratio of 38.3%.
Revenues and net income for the first half of year 2024 were NT$1,335 million and NT$180 million, growing 23.4% and 83.0%, respectively, from the same period of year 2023. Earnings per share for the first half of year 2024 was NT$1.66, growing 84.4% from NT$0.90 in the first half of year 2023.
Among this year’s best-selling toys, the one worth paying attention to is the touch-sensitive electronic pet toy “Punirunes” launched by a major Japanese brand. This toy features 55 adorable characters and innovatively combines digital pet care with physical touch interaction. Since its debut in 2021, it has sold over 700,000 units in the Asian market. Recognizing the potential in the digital pet market, major toy manufacturers in Europe and America have announced plans to introduce "Punirunes" through their distribution channels. This product exclusively incorporates high-performance 16-bit DSP independently developed by Generalplus and is expected to be one of the top-selling toys during this year's Christmas season.

Generalplus Technology Reports 2024/Q1 Financial Results

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today (5/8) held Board of Directors’ meeting and acknowledged its 2024/Q1 consolidated financial statements. Attributable to the effect of order replenishment due to market inventory depletion, revenues and net income of 2024/Q1 reached NT$544 million and NT$61 million, increasing 19.2% and 92.1%, respectively from the same period of year 2023. Earnings per share of 2024/Q1 was NT$0.56, growing 93.1% from NT$0.29 of 2023/Q1, with gross profit ratio of 38.4%.
In terms of new products, due to recent frequent electric vehicle fire accidents in mainland China, it has raised market concerns regarding battery management. Continuing our long-term efforts in the ebike market of mainland China, this year we launched a battery management system (BMS) IC suitable for this market. The IC uses 32-bit Arm Cortex®-M0 and has rich peripheral interfaces, which provides great improvement for the safety of battery charging and discharging!

Generalplus Technology Reports Year 2023 Financial Results and Dividends Distribution

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today held board of directors’ meeting and acknowledged its year 2023 consolidated financial statements. Revenues of year 2023 decreased 31.6% to NT$2,167 million from NT$3,169 million of year 2022. Operating profits of year 2023 were NT$168 million, down 73.4% compared to NT$631 million of year 2022. Net income of year 2023 was NT$168 million, decreasing 71.0% from NT$579 million of year 2022. Earnings per share in year 2023 was NT$1.54, falling 71.1% from earnings per share of NT$5.32 in year 2022.
Gross profit ratio, operating profit ratio and net profit ratio of year 2023 were 37.9%, 7.7% and 7.8%, respectively.
In year 2023, the global economy continued to be affected by high inflation and rising interest rates, leading to sluggish market demand and causing declines in company’s revenues and profits. However, the current cycle of interest rate hikes is nearing its end, and the global economy continues to recover. Customer demand is expected to gradually pick up.
Consolidated revenues of 2023/Q4 were NT$498 million, growing 1.7% year over year. Operating profits, net income and earnings per share of 2023/Q4 were NT$27 million, NT$16 million and NT$0.14, decreasing 26.5%, 35.8% and 36.4% respectively compared to the same period of last year.
The Board of Directors also resolved on distribution of NT$1.3 cash dividends per share for year 2023. This proposal will be discussed and resolved at the Company’s annual shareholders’ meeting scheduled on May 24, 2024.
