Generalplus Technology Reports 2023/Q3 Financial Results

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today held board of directors’ meeting and acknowledged its 2023/Q3 consolidated financial statements. Revenues and net earnings of 2023/Q3 were NT$588 million and NT$54 million, decreasing 14.8% and 53.6%, respectively from the same period of year 2022. Earnings per share in 2023/Q3 was NT$0.50, decreasing 53.3% from NT$1.07 in 2022/Q3. Gross profit margin ratio of 2023/Q3 was 37.2%.
Revenues and net income for the first three quarters of year 2023 were NT$1,669 million and NT$152 million, declining 37.7% and 72.5%, respectively from the same period of year 2022. Earnings per share for the first three quarters of year 2023 was NT$1.40, down 72.5% from NT$5.10 in the first three quarters of year 2022.
In terms of new products, the newly launched "Magic Adventures Telescope" by a major American educational brand company has been ranked on the "The Best Inventions of 2023" list voted by “Time Magazine”! This telescope has a magnification of up to 110 times, allowing children to become professional astronomers who can clearly observe the stars、constellations、the Moon, etc. at night and take photos to share with friends. In addition, it has built in more than 100 astronomical knowledge videos provided by NASA and adventure games to enrich the educational content. This product adopts Generalplus’ 32-bit Cortex-M4 multimedia IC, providing an ideal toy design model under the STEM educational trend.

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today (8/3) held Board of Directors’ meeting and acknowledged its 2023/Q2 consolidated financial statements. Revenues and net income of 2023/Q2 were NT$625 million and NT$67 million, decreasing 38.6% and 69.4%, respectively, from the same period of year 2022. Earnings per share of 2023/Q2 was NT$0.61, down 69.5% from NT$2.00 of 2022/Q2, with gross profit ratio of 38.9%.
Revenues and net income for the first half of year 2023 were NT$1,081 million and NT$98 million, declining 45.7% and 77.6%, respectively, from the same period of year 2022. Earnings per share for the first half of year 2023 was NT$0.90, down 77.7% from NT$4.03 in the first half of year 2022.
In terms of new product, the giant American toy manufacturer announced the launch of the 25th anniversary commemorative version of "Furby". In addition to a more refined and pleasing appearance, it is built in more than 600 interactive modes of voice control. The iconic toy had been sold more than 40 million units worldwide in the first three years of its launch, and is expected to drive a craze of nostalgic collections. The 25th anniversary commemorative edition of "Furby" exclusively adopts Generalplus’ 32-bit speech IC, which is expected to list among the best-selling toys in this year's Christmas season of Europe and America!

Generalplus Technology Reports 2023/Q1 Financial Results

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today (5/9) held Board of Directors’ meeting and acknowledged its 2023/Q1 consolidated financial statements. Attributable to continuously affected by factors such as the global economic downturn and sluggish consumer demand, revenues and net income of 2023/Q1 were NT$456 million and NT$32 million, decreasing 53.0% and 85.6%, respectively from the same period of year 2022. Earnings per share of 2023/Q1 was NT$0.29, decreasing 85.7% from NT$2.03 of 2022/Q1, with gross profit ratio of 40.2%.
In terms of new products, Generalplus has recently developed a high-precision AD measurement controller, which uses a high computing power 32-bit CPU Cortex-M0 core. In addition to a 24-bit high-precision SigmaDelta ADC, it also has a built-in high-speed 12-bit SAR ADC, suitable for AIoT, gas detection, personal medical products and other applications. At present, products such as high-end ear thermometer and CO2 measurement have passed the functional verification of our customers, and production is expected to start in this Q2~Q3.

Generalplus Technology Reports Year 2022 Financial Results and Dividends Distribution

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today held board of directors’ meeting and acknowledged its year 2022 consolidated financial statements. Revenues of year 2022 decreased 11.5% to NT$3,169 million from NT$3,581 million of year 2021. Operating profits of year 2022 were NT$631 million, down 20.2% compared to NT$790 million of year 2021. Net income of year 2022 was NT$579 million, decreasing 12.0% from NT$659 million of year 2021. Earnings per share in year 2022 was NT$5.32, falling 12.1% from earnings per share of NT$6.05 in year 2021.
Gross profit ratio, operating profit ratio and net profit ratio of year 2022 were 45.6%, 19.9% and 18.3%, respectively.
Since the second half of year 2022, under the influence of multiple factors such as inflation, interest rate hikes, China's lockdown, the Ukrainian-Russian war, etc., the purchasing power of consumer products had declined dramatically, and the global economy had reversed rapidly.
Consolidated revenues, operating profits, net income and earnings per share of 2022/Q4 were NT$489 million, NT$36 million, NT$24 million and NT$0.22, decreasing 45.5%, 82.1%, 85.4%, and 85.5% respectively compared to the same period of last year.
The Board of Directors also resolved on distribution of NT$5.0 cash dividends per share for year 2022, including earnings distribution of NT$ 4.85 and capital reserve distribution of NT$0.15. This proposal will be discussed and resolved at the Company’s annual shareholders’ meeting scheduled on May 24, 2023.
