General Description
GPL61B1, an 8-bit CMOS single chip microprocessor, features RAM, ROM, I/Os, interrupt/wakeup controller, 8-bit PWM audio output, UART and automatic display controller/driver for LCD. With a dual channel PWM driver, attractive sound effect can be generated easily. A built-in UART is capable of accelerating data transmission between two chips. Furthermore, a software controllable standby mode is also built in to reduce power consumption. Its large ROM size can be used to store both program and audio data (speech duration is approx. 18 seconds at 7KHz sampling rate using 4-bit ADPCM). GPL61B1 is designed with state-of-the-art technology to fulfill the requirements of LCD applications especially hand-held products.
