Generalplus Technology Reports Year 2023 Financial Results and Dividends Distribution

Generalplus Technology Inc. (Taiex: 4952) today held board of directors’ meeting and acknowledged its year 2023 consolidated financial statements. Revenues of year 2023 decreased 31.6% to NT$2,167 million from NT$3,169 million of year 2022. Operating profits of year 2023 were NT$168 million, down 73.4% compared to NT$631 million of year 2022. Net income of year 2023 was NT$168 million, decreasing 71.0% from NT$579 million of year 2022. Earnings per share in year 2023 was NT$1.54, falling 71.1% from earnings per share of NT$5.32 in year 2022.

 

Gross profit ratio, operating profit ratio and net profit ratio of year 2023 were 37.9%, 7.7% and 7.8%, respectively.

 

In year 2023, the global economy continued to be affected by high inflation and rising interest rates, leading to sluggish market demand and causing declines in company’s revenues and profits. However, the current cycle of interest rate hikes is nearing its end, and the global economy continues to recover. Customer demand is expected to gradually pick up.

 

Consolidated revenues of 2023/Q4 were NT$498 million, growing 1.7% year over year. Operating profits, net income and earnings per share of 2023/Q4 were NT$27 million, NT$16 million and NT$0.14, decreasing 26.5%, 35.8% and 36.4% respectively compared to the same period of last year.

The Board of Directors also resolved on distribution of NT$1.3 cash dividends per share for year 2023. This proposal will be discussed and resolved at the Company’s annual shareholders’ meeting scheduled on May 24, 2024.
