GPCE4

48 sensor pins
Touch, right at your fingertip
Touch has become one of the most popular gestures to interact with electronic devices we use every day. When it comes to engineering, touch is not just a piece of cake; it's a state-of-the-art. GPCE4 offers users an intuitive and practical hardware interface for touching-capability design. A maximum of 48 independent sensor pins makes GPCE4 one of the most suitable and flexible processors in the industry to accomplish its sophisticate computation and interaction, but in an easy-to-use manner.
28 languages
Word, shortens our distance
We know how important a language is to our community. That's why we have 28. In order to communicate with people around the world, we painstakingly collect 28 most popular languages for our voice recognition solutions. As a developer, you don't need to travel around to collect these voices. We've done for you. Through our unique-designed software recognition tool, one language can be easily translated to another and recognized by others.
10μA
Powered for efficiency
GPCE4 is designed for those products that are expected to keep at the lowest power consumption while not in using and has the capability to awake immediately when needed. It takes only 10uA while standing by and 29mA while operating. It saves power, not performance.
14bit DAC
Quality for every voice you hear
Not 10-bit or 12-bit, but 14-bit DAC to make voice sound better. GPCE4 features two 14-bit DACs to produce satisfied sound quality for your applications. Without an external voice amplifier added, this DAC still has a 0.5-Watt output capability. The sound may be not huge, but it is crisp and clear. Yet, a hardware noise filter is also embedded in it to eliminate the undesirable noise. When talking about the sound quality in a small electronic device, it is not only the right choice, but one of the best.
ADC
Analog to Digital Converter
The Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) is capable of converting an analog voltage to a digital number. In GPCE4, it has eight channels of ADC, each with 12-bit resolution, and a built-in MIC amplifier AGC and PGA functions. It is sufficiently enough for sampling a voice and is as effective as an ordinary DC detection. The A/D operating range has a full input range that is the maximal A/D analog signal input can be from 0V through AVDD. In addition, GPCE4's ADC features an 8-level FIFO (First-in-first-out) mechanism to relieve the massive loadings from CPU.
LVD
Low Voltage Detection
The function of Low Voltage Detection (LVD) is to inform systems and users the circumstance of present voltage. In other words, it keeps eyes on the voltage variations of a system to prevent an excessive low voltage, which may possibly result in a system failure or crash. Total of seven LVD options are available in GPCE4 - 2.4V, 2.6V, 2.8V, 3.0V, 3.2V, 3.4V, and 3.6V. In addition to that, a Low Voltage Reset (LVR) is also outfitted to generate a reset signal to keep system performing on the right track when its working voltage drops below the given LVD level.
SPI
Serial Peripheral Interface
Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) is a synchronous data bus that offers separate lines for data and clock to keep two sides of talk in synchronous. The SPI controller built inside GPCE4 as standard enables synchronous serial communication with master and slave peripherals. In our design, there are two SPIs and each contains four signal lines shared with four of designated IOs: SPICS (IOB12), SPICK (IOB13), SDI (IOB14), and SDO (IOB15). One of SPIs is able to run an external program, meaning the system program can be upgraded from the SPI if necessary.
PWM
Pulse Width Modulation
Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is commonly used in variety of applications for controlling circuits. As known, PWM drives or controls a component using duty signal approach. With various combinations of duty signal, it is capable of controlling the activity of a component such as the brightness of a RGB LED, direction of a motor, or angle of a mechanical robot. In GPCE4, there are total of four hardware PWM IOs. The duty of each PWM IO can be specified from 1/256 to 254/256.
Timer
Timer/Counter
Five 16-bit up-count timers are featured in GPCE4, including three 16-bit general-purpose timers/counters, and either two touch sensing timers or two general-purpose timers/counters.
USB
Universal Serial BUS
Today, Universal Serial BUS (USB) is no longer only working with computer-based peripherals. It connects almost everything and everywhere. The USB comes with GPCE4 complies with USB 2.0 full speed (12MHz) with a transceiver and total of 384-byte USB buffer in it.
